The new device would wrap around a tree and predict when and where the tree may fall based on several measurements. The device would measure the lean of the tree, the GPS coordinates (to determine most common wind direction and average speeds), and strength of wood. Based on these inputs, the new product could help predict if the tree is susceptible to falling in an upcoming storm and which direction it would likely fall in.
